Thank you for helping defend the places we all walk through every day.
Pick one spot. Make it better.
This isn’t a project. It’s five minutes after drop-off.
Most Defenders clean one small spot they already pass every day, then move on.
No planning. No organising. No commitment.
You don’t have to touch it.
All Defender gear is designed for no-contact pickup and secure bagging.
Pick it up. Tie it off. Dispose safely. Done.
This isn’t activism. It’s normal behaviour.
No uniforms. No signs. No speeches.
Just quietly dealing with the mess where your kids walk.
Most people barely notice. Some thank you. A few even join in.
Councils deal with the damage later.
Defenders stop the problem earlier.
What starts as bottles and food boxes near schools and shops is what later blocks drains, floods roads, and ends up on motorways.
Stopping it early keeps bigger problems from forming.
It teaches that mess isn’t normal.
That shared spaces matter.
And that decent people don’t walk past problems and hope someone else fixes them.
Children copy what parents accept.
That lesson lasts longer than any cleanup.
Yes. Safety comes first.
Our gear is designed for everyday family use. No sharp edges. No heavy or aggressive tools. Kids only use child-appropriate items under supervision.
If it’s not family-safe, we don’t sell it.
No. You don’t need hi-vis or special clothing.
Most Defenders clean in normal clothes. Hi-vis is optional and only for people who want extra visibility near traffic.
This is about blending into everyday life, not standing out.
Most people don’t say anything.
If they do, a simple “Just tidying up where my kids walk” is enough. That usually ends the conversation.
You’re not asking permission. You’re quietly taking care of a shared space.
There’s no schedule and no expectation.
Some Defenders clean once a week. Some once a month. Some only when they notice a mess.
Do what fits your life. Every small action helps.
Nothing happens.
This isn’t a programme or a pledge.
You’re free to stop, start, or pause whenever you want.
Defending your spot is a choice, not an obligation.
Yes. Small litter causes real problems.
Bottles and packaging block drains, cause flooding, create hazards, and cost communities thousands to fix later.
Stopping litter early keeps places safer and cleaner for everyone.
Yes, with supervision.
Many parents involve their children using child-safe tools. It helps kids learn responsibility without turning cleanup into a chore or punishment.
You decide what feels right for your family.
No. Sharing is optional.
Some Defenders post stories. Most don’t.
This isn’t about recognition. It’s about quietly improving the places you care about.
Where do I dispose of the bag? After your 5-minute cleanup
• Public bin nearby
If there’s a bin at your spot (bus stop, park), drop the bag in and you’re done.
• Take it home
Most Defenders use their home wheelie bin. One small bag is a fair trade for a cleaner street.
• School or local business
Some Defenders ask their child’s school or a nearby shop if they can use their bin. Many are happy to help.
